Upper Deck Releases Revised All-Star Vinyl Schedule and Hints at New Mini ASV Line

ASV Figures in 2008 to Include Golfing and Boxing, as Well as Mini Vinyl Figures

Source: Upper Deck — Posted 2/27/2008

Upper Deck has released a revised schedule for the All-Star Vinyls line in 2008 and some news about a new line of mini vinyl figures.

Here's a look at the next few months of releases by sport. Info subject to change.

  • Derek Jeter - May
  • Albert Pujols - May
  • A-Rod - June
  • Babe Ruth (in a new farewell to Yankee Stadium pose) - July
  • Big Pappi - Aug
  • David Wright - Sept
  • Vince Carter - Feb
  • LeBron II - May
  • Kevin Durant - May
  • Kobe II - Sept
  • LeBron I USA Basketball Edition - Aug
  • Kobe I USA Basketball Edition - Aug
  • Crosby II - April
  • Tiger Woods - Fall '08
  • Mohammad Ali - Fall '08

Unfortunately, a combination of tooling delays and lack of projected hobby sales for NHL ASV has caused Upper Deck to delay several previously planned players that were going to roll out this season. They had to rearrange the NHL line for possible release in the Fall of 2008 and 2009 season. Look for a full NHL line to be a major part of the announcement in the next paragraph . . .

Finally, Upper Deck has released that they are working on a new ASV line that is in a smaller and more retail friendly size. This is different than the Pro Shots figures that were recently announced. No other information about the mini ASV line has been released.
